Stanton College Preparatory School’s Blue Devils Varsity soccer team scored a 2-0 home victory against the Atlantic Coast Stingrays, maintaining a perfect defensive record with zero goals conceded.

Tensions were high in the first half as the Blue Devils battled to score a point before halftime but faced tough challenges from their rival opponents.

Although players such as sophomore striker Jeremiah Soto and senior sweeper Preston Skinner were close to securing a goal during the first fifteen minute, Atlantic Coast’s defense successfully resisted and started to push back.

The stingrays couldn’t score though as senior goalkeeper Sebastien Brunner caught every attempted goal and helped to preserve the Blue Devils’ dominance on the field.

The first goal of the game was scored 29 minutes into the second half, after an exhausting beginning, by senior defender Kristian Fischer.

Doubling their points, the Blue Devils scored the final goal of the game by senior player Joseph Alberto with 16 minutes remaining and secured a Stanton victory.

With a strong performance after two victories, the Stanton Blue Devils will compete against the Bishop Kenny Crusaders at an away game on the sixteenth.

The Atlantic Coast Stingrays are competing against the Mandarin Mustangs this Saturday on their home field.
