Each year, throughout March and April, the natural world comes back to life. The greys and browns of winter begin to transition into pleasing, colorful hues. The temperatures begin to warm, and animals become more active. The vibrant essence of Spring is exhibited in its fullest across Jacksonville. There are many ways to enjoy the beautiful nature that comes to life during spring throughout our city.

Before the sun rises, many local fishermen flock to the Jacksonville Beach Pier to get an  early start in their efforts to catch some of the many fish off the shores of Jacksonville.

As spring emerges, many gardeners take the opportunity to plant new seasonal flowers.  The Plant Ranch Nursery has a wide selection of colorful flowers seen in lawns across Jacksonville. Researchers at Rutgers University even found that colorful flowers can have a dramatic positive effect on people’s moods.
